Meet Shivani & Himesh
"Our story has a bit of serendipity and curiosity woven into it! Our story dates back to 2018. Himesh saw me at a cousin's wedding and wanted to talk to me. My interest was piqued by hearing about Himesh from my mutual friend/cousin. Following him on Instagram and making the first move was a bold step that led to our connection. Sometimes, these seemingly small actions can spark something meaningful. His manifestation to meet me, and my impulsiveness of finding out who he was, got us together. And that is how #ShiFoundHim."

From The Bride
Our wedding took place on March 3, 2024. Narrowing down options and themes can indeed be challenging, but I managed to create a wonderful variety for each occasion. We chose Fizori Blue outfits for Haldi so we could stand out in all the yellow. The Bohemian theme for the engagement/sangeet added a lively and relaxed atmosphere. Keeping things casual for the cocktail event was a great idea to help everyone mingle and enjoy themselves. I was certain to keep things traditional for the wedding, so chose a golden saree and an off-white maroon saree. And choosing a peach kanchivaram saree instead of the traditional lehenga for the reception was a personal choice. I was deliberatly trying to be thoughtful about choosing my outfits for each event! It's great that I found a lehenga at Frontier Raas that sparked ideas for restyling it in the future. The Pellikuthuru look was my most favourite, and I made a spontaneous yet meaningful decision to switch to a border-less saree just before the wedding. My mum particularly was very sceptical about the choice but it really screamed me and my personality.
Tips For Future Brides
1. Only buy a Lehenga if you know how you want to style it in the future. I wanted to keep things simple and wanted to make mindful choices about the outfits. Don't try to keep up with the mainstream wedding trends, Do what makes you feel you.
2. I planned the wedding in such a way that the guests didn't have to travel into the city for anything. All the locations were near the airport. We had multiple hotels booked out for friends and family and the core two families had two houses to carry out rituals and stock up things needed for the wedding.
3. Take time to do your research but act quickly when you find 'the place' or 'the outfit'.
4. I didn't hire an event management company for any of the events, I had my very close cousins involved in each process. They loved being a part of it and that makes my heart so full.
Vendor Reviews
Venue : Windflower Prakruthi, Bengaluru // Acre, Bengaluru
We had multiple venues for the wedding festivities. The cocktail and Engagement/ Sangeet was at Acre, Bengaluru. The venue has great vibe and the team is very responsive. I couldn't have imagined approaching any other venue. The wedding was at Windflower Prakruthi resports. This lush green venue was perfect for our early morning muhurtham.
Make Up : Nikitha Reddy Makeup Studio
I can not thank Nikitha Reddy enough. I wanted to keep the make up very subtle, and majorly wanted to just look like myself. I had Nikitha for Pellikuthuru, Engagement/ Sangeet and the wedding. She did a brilliant job with all my looks. She knew exactly want I wanted and one hundred percent delivered.
Photography : The Candid Theory
The Candid Theory was a good choice. Super fun and active team. They did not once stop us during our wedding rituals to get 'the' shot. They just let us be and enjoyed all the events along with us.
Wedding Decor : Tie-In Productions
Ever since I came across Tie-In Productions on Instagram, I wanted to get them for the decor. They did not disappoint one bit. They are very experienced and knew exactly what I needed. Perfect choice for the decor. They even accommodated last minute requests.
Special shout out to my sister, Devaki who runs Decor by Pooja. Along with being my bridesmaid, she also pulled off the decor at Himesh's house. The Pellikoduku(Groom making) and Vratam was done by her. Super proud and happy for how they turned out.
Mehendi : Mehndi By Nazwa
Nazwa Anas was so patient with me. We were running low on time and there was a massive delay on my end. She was very quick and was did an outstanding job.
Bachelorette
My girls planned a cute little day out for me. We were also meeting after 4 years. Super fun and a perfect day with my girls. Got our nails done, did a little dance practice, and chatted away.
Bridal Jewellery
All of the jewellery is a collection from many years, Narayani Jewellers, Hyderabad are a go to for my Mum and I. Recent discovery is Abhushan in Bangalore. Picked some contemporary statement pieces from Kavya Potluri in Hyderabad.
