Planning a wedding in India while sitting abroad is no easy feat. From The Bride:

Our wedding took place on February 15, 2024. Planning a wedding with one of us in the U.S. and the other in the U.K. was a Herculean task. Coordinating with vendors in India while dealing with the time zone differences was incredibly challenging. Since I’ve been living abroad for several years, I didn’t want to lose touch with my roots. Hence, we wanted a wedding that incorporated all the customs and cultures of a proper Hindu wedding. We made sure even the smallest traditions were observed and were excited to see them all executed. Although my family is Telugu, since Varun is Tamil and I am also closer to Tamil Nadu, having been born and brought up there, we wanted a typical Tamil wedding. For the reception and other events, we wanted a more westernized style. We’re glad we managed to bring our vision to life as closely as we had imagined.

The venue was spacious and bright, and a big shout out to the catering team for their exceptional service. Despite initial concerns about bringing outside vendors, their catering surpassed expectations. The caterers were professional, uniformed, and received compliments from every guest. The in-house decorator was supportive and even accommodated last-minute changes. The entire venue and staff were top-notch, with comfortable bride and groom's rooms. The modern, stylish location offered ample parking, making it one of the best venues in Chennai.

Makeup Artist: Rachel Stylesmith

Our bridal makeup artist, is a professional and one of the best-known in Chennai. She skillfully brought my vision to life, giving me a retro look for the reception and a traditional, bright look for the wedding. I'm thrilled with her work.

Wedding Planning: Sangeet Tales

They managed our Sangeet + Cocktail event. They had an excellent team hosting, provided a DJ, and assisted with the bar setup, creating a lively evening decor.

Mehendi Artist: Dots and Curves

Their talent was exceptional. They effortlessly crafted intricate designs, often just by glancing at pictures for a minute. Their speed was remarkable too. Despite having a group of 30 guests, they efficiently completed each member's mehendi in a short period.
